Adding a Heat Pump to your pool will make the most of your investment. Here in Adelaide, without pool heating you can expect to get around 6 weeks of swimming through Summer only. With the right size and model Heat Pump you can reasonably expect to swim from late September right through to April. If you are also considering Pool Solar Heating, this will extend your swim season however, it really is only effective in the hotter months; December to March. The problem is that Pool Solar, just like our weather, it is not consistent. A Pool Heat Pump is consistent, reliable and will heat to your desired water temperature regardless of what the weather is doing.

 

The heating alternative of Gas is consistent and reliable, but expensive because unlike a Pool Heat Pump, gas heating is not offset by rooftop solar panels. This makes it a costly alternative.

 

If you have enough solar panels on your roof it is entirely possible you will get very cheap or at times, free pool heating with a Pool Heat Pump. What is there not to love about net zero pool heating!​​
